AMERICAN ACADEMY OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS

We provided construction services for the American Academy of Family Physicians’ (AAFP) six-story, 186,000 SF build-to-suit office with a speculative component. Originally, this project was a simple land improvement project. AAFP's property was adjacent to land owned by the City of Leawood, KS, which planned to build a judicial center housing police and local courts. AAFP wanted to ensure that future construction on the neighboring site was compatible with their long-term institutional presence. We arranged a land trade with the community to enhance AAFP's prominence and both parties’ properties. The association occupies 124,000 SF on four stories and leases the remaining space.
