We structured this preferred equity joint venture between The Alter Group and Heitman Real Estate Management’s Global Investment Fund to acquire a 90 percent financial interest in this 102,882 RSF property. Heitman is the advisor to the Global Investment Fund, which invests foreign capital in United States real estate and whose sole investor is the Kuwait-based Global Investment House. We structured the transaction to comply with strict Shari’ah banking laws and included a complex operating lease. Additionally, we procured debt financing for the venture. The transaction included Corridors I and II in Downers Grove, IL. We continue to manage the property.
